Features
Polyamide (PA-N) series of nano-modified Special Material for direct drinking water meter are high-performance modified engineering plastic researched and developed by ourselves. Its physical and chemical properties, weatherable performances are in line with the National Standard after detected by the states legal department and fully meet the requirements to produce water meters. Special Material for water meter has such following characteristics:
- Sanitary, non-toxic, pollution-free
- Great toughness ,high intensity, high modulus
- High impact resistance with good cold tolerance.
- Good heat resistance performance with high heat distortion temperature.
- Good dimension stability, small coefficient of linear expansion,low water absorption rate.
- Outstanding anti-aging performance with more than 50 years of useful life.
Properties
1. Sanitary properties: According to the requirements of ISO9001 quality management system, the detections on physical and chemical properties of special material for water meter are carried out periodically to control the amount of increased harmful substances. Tested by the Shanghai Institute of Preventive Medicine , each index of the special material for water meter meet the requirements of the Ministry of Health on Sanitary Standard for Drink Water and Standard for Hygienic Safety Evaluation of Equipment and Protective Materials in Drinking Water. Hygiene licence has been obtained.
2. Physical properties: According to the requirements of ISO9001 quality management system, the detections on physical and chemical properties of special material for water meter are carried out periodically .According to the test result of Shanghai Plastic Research Institute on W2008-445-1, W2009-394 and W2009-1502, the product has very good intensity and tenacity performances. Its tensile strength and tensile elastic modulus are much better than foreign similar products. Together with good resistance performances to high/low temperature, low water absorption rate, small coefficient of linear expansion and high notched impact strength, it have passed the leakage test of 1.6 MPa for 15 min & 2.0 MPa for 1 min, and maximumly can bear 4.5MPa, without leakage, let-out or damage. The performance indexes are as follows:

3.Weatherability: According to the technical requirements and test methods of national standards GB/T778.1-1996-Cold Water Meter Part One: Criterion , GB/T778.3-1996-Cold Water Meter Part Three: Test Method and Test equipment, GB/T9979-2005- Guide rule of test for mechanical properties of fiber-reinforced plastics at elevated and reduced temperatures and GB/T7141-1992 - Plastics-Methods of exposure to thermal air, all the samples delivered are detected by Zhejiang Institute of Metrology (LLW-2008010299) ,which confirmed that the results of every test item are in line with the test requirements .
Application: Especially suitable for manufacturing cold/ hot water meter ,water meter body and pressure bearing parts.
